Trading volume increases sharply, VN Index marks third consecutive gain   2009-03-11 - Intellasia | AtpVietnam

Continuing the increasing impetus from previous sessions, the Vietnam's stock market today March 11 continued increasing as the VN Index gained 3.97 points or 1.57% to 255.85 pts with the total trading volume of over 17.3 million shares for over 311 billion dong, rising 43% in volume and 47% in value day on day.


75% of listed shares increased. Particularly, out of 174 share codes and four fund certificates, 134 shares increased with 58 reaching the ceiling price, 22 others decreased with three falling to the floor price and 22 others stood still at the comparative price.

Three blue-chips decreased including VNM, VIC and VPL.

HAG stood still at the reference price meanwhile STB reached the ceiling price with 700 dong to 15,800 dong per share and 3.5 million shares being transferred.

Three shares slipped to the floor price including SFC, VHC and BTC.

STB continued leading the market in trading volume with 3.55 million shares and then SSI with over two million, SAM 950,000, REE 670,000, DPM 630,000, VIP 540,000 and PVT with 490,000 shares being traded.

Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) today March 11 continued to increased as the HaSTC Index gained another 2.96 points or 3.38% to end at 90.46 pts with the total trading volume of 10,366,200 shares valued at over 199 billion dong.

Amongst 177 listed shares on the northern bourse, 18 shares decreased including HLC -1,300 dong per share, DHT -1,200, SDS and SJC -1,000, LBE -600, HCT -500, DTC and TBX -400, L43 and SPP -300, DAC, DST, LUT and SD8 -200, B82, DAE, SAP and TPP -100 dong per share, 10 shares remained unchanged namely BBS, C92, HPS, KMF, L18, L61, POT, S12, SDJ and VBH, 13 shares with no trade including BST, CJC, CTB, CTC, HSC, NGC, PTM, QST, QTC, SCC, SRA. VE9 and VTL, and 136 remaining shares increased.

Some big gainers were RCL and SCJ +1,900 dong per share, S99 and VNR +1,800, NBC +1,700, KBC +1,600, VCS +1,500, ACB, NTP, PVI, PVS and SD7 +1,400 and HLY and SD9 +1,300 dong per share.

ACB still kept the pole place in trading volume with 2,273,200 shares and followed by KLS with 1,181,500, BVS with 756,200, PVS 674,100, BCC 645,200 and VCG with 394,700 shares being transacted.
