Both bourses tumble Mar 06   2009-03-06 - Intellasia | AtpVietnam

Ending the last session of this week, the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (STC)'s index today Friday March 6 slipped slightly together with the downturn of the global stock market.


In the opening phase, the VN Index dropped 2.08 points or 0.84% to 244.6 pts with the total trading volume of only over 1.1 million shares valued at 18.77 billion dong. In the following stage, the VN Index continued falling 1.4 pts or 0.57% to 245.28 pts with the total trading volume of over 5.86 million shares for 98 billion dong.

Finally, the VN Index ended at 245.7 pts, losing 0.98 pts or 0.4% with the total matching order trade of over 7.3 million shares valued at 121.88 billion dong, down 15% in volume and 21% in value from previous session.

Among 174 share codes and four fund certificates being listed on the southern bourse, 68 shares decreased with 11 falling to the floor price, 64 others increased with 20 reaching the ceiling price, 44 shares remained unchanged and two with no trade namely NSC and SGH.

Out of top ten largest market capitalisation shares, FPT jumped 200 dong to 43,200 dong per share. Others decreased such as PVF, STB, VIC and VPL.

Some blue-chips stood still such as DPM, VNM, HAG, PPC and PVD.
Some shares reached the ceiling price like TAC, KSH, NBB, SBT and HAP.

As for trading volume, STB still led the market with 940,000 shares and then PVT with nearly 500,000, SSI 360,000, TAC 270,000, ITA 250,000 and TCM with 240,000 shares being transferred.

Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC) today March 6 suddenly tumbled as the HaSTC Index slipped 0.18 point or 0.21% to 84.59 pts with the total market trade of 4,432,800 shares worth nearly 80 billion dong.

Amongst 177 listed shares on the northern bourse, 49 shares increased, 27 others with no trade namely BST, BTH, CAP, CJC, DTC, HBE, HSC, LBE, NGC, NPS, QST, QTC, S12, S91, SCC, SD8, SDC, SDJ, SDS, SJC, SRA, SVI, TJC, TPP, VCC, VE9 and VTL, 19 shares stood still including BLF, CMC, CTN, DST, HCC, HEV, HJS, KMF, NLC, PTS, QNC, S96, SAP, SD2, SD4, SJM, SRB, TKU and VTV and 82 shares decreased.

YSC was the biggest gainer with 1,100 dong per share and then HLY and PSC up 1,000 dong per share. Other gainers increased below 1,000 dong per share.

Meanwhile, SNG showed the strongest decline with 1,400 dong and then BHV and SDY slipped 1,100 dong per share. Other losers dropped below 1,000 dong per share.

ACB still kept the pole place in trading volume with 1,234,200 shares and followed by VCG with 310,600, KLS with 284,300, PAN 246,300 and VGS with 184,800 shares being traded. Both bourses tumble Mar 06
