SSI licenses software from Microsoft's Viet Nam agent   0000-00-00 - VNS

Saigon Securities Incorporation yesterday inked deal with Microsoft's authorised dealer in Viet Nam CMC Corporation to standardise its IT system with genuine Microsoft Office software.

HA NOI — Saigon Securities Incorporation yesterday inked deal with Microsoft’s authorised dealer in Viet Nam CMC Corporation to standardise its IT system with genuine Microsoft Office software.

The deal belongs to Enterprise Agreement between SSI and Microsoft. The deal also makes SSI the first local securities company to invest in genuine software, contributing to fight back software piracy.

Under the deal, SSI is allowed to access the updated office software within three years. As well, its staff will also have IT training courses from CMC Corporation.

Nguyen Hoai Anh, Ha Noi-based SSI’s director, said that the deal yesterday would help SSI meet most demand from market.

"Microsoft with its experience will help us better protect the technology system, improving service quality and security," Anh said.

Christ Atkinson, President of Microsoft South East Asia, said that Viet Nam stock market is regarded so potential for overseas investors. Then the technology upgrade would help local firms develop more strongly, resulting of a better overseas capital flowing to the market.

"The deal today will also help SSI promote its competitiveness in the world market in near future," Atkinson said.
