Sabeco gains 500 billion dong in H1 profit   2009-07-15 - VNSN

Saigon Beer Alcohol and Beverage Joint Stock Corp (Sabeco) has announced that the company reached total revenue of over 6.603 trillion dong in the first six months of this year and it earned profit after tax of 547.48 billion dong.

Sabeco's management board revealed that although the corporation's business results in Q1 of 2009 was considered ineffective because the companies had to use high-valued raw materials imported at the end of 2008, the whole corporation's business operation in Q2 has improved after Sabeco received the government supporting loans with preferential interest rate.

The corporation plans to hold a shareholders' meeting on July 18, in which Sabeco will introduce with the shareholders about its plan to list shares on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (STC) in Q4 of 2009.

In 2009, Sabeco expects to pay dividend of 1,200 dong per share.
